Southern Utah's Damon Heuir has returned to his native Australia to play basketball with the Mackay, Queensland-based McDonald's Meteors of the Queensland Basketball League.

Heuir, a 6-foot-2 guard from Townsville, Australia, earned second-team all-Big Sky Conference honors in 2013. He was also a member of the Australian Under-19 squad as well as the Under-20 Queensland team that claimed the 2009 Australian Junior National Championship.

Heuir was Southern Utah's second-leading scorer at 15.5 points per game with a 16.4 average in Big Sky games, the fourth-best average in the conference.
