PCL baseball: Ninth-inning grand slam helps Bees beat Grizzlies

Salt Lake's Matt Long hit a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game, and the Bees went on to beat the Fresno Grizzlies 9-6 in 10 innings in a Pacific Coast League matchup Monday night. With the scored tied 6-6 in the 10th, Efren Navarro hit an RBI single to put the Bees ahead, and later scored on Roberto Lopez's sacrifice fly to give the Bees a 9-6 lead.

Salt Lake reliever David Carpenter (5-1) worked two scoreless innings to earn the win.

With Salt Lake trailing 6-1 in the top of the ninth, Luke Carlin hit an RBI single before Long hit the equalizing grand.

The win gave Salt Lake (37-35) a 3-1 series victory.
