Fire crews quickly suppressed a fire at a home at 665 16th Street, in Ogden, after the homeowner was unable to put it out with a fire extinguisher.

Firefighters arrived about 12:45 p.m. Thursday to find the home filled with smoke. But crews quickly knocked down the flames, which were contained to a bedroom closet, reported Deputy Chief Eric Bauman.

The fire is under investigation and the cause is unknown.

No residents were displaced and there were no injuries associated with the fire, Bauman said.

Crews from Ogden City Fire Department, Northview Fire District and Roy City Fire Department responded with fourteen people.
