An ever-evolving piece of art is being made, in living color, at the Urban Arts area of the Utah Arts Festival.
A graffiti wall is open for would-be street artists to add their marks, now through the festival's close on Sunday. (On Saturday, some invited artists will take over the space, but otherwise it's open to anybody.)
In past years, the festival provided paint for graffiti artists, but now "people kind of bring their own paint," said Pablo Pinet, an artist working on the wall earlier today.
Pinet said he likes graffiti art because of the letters. "I like taking letters and making them look like different things," he said.
Also at the Urban Arts space: People can create their own graffiti on trucker hats, get a henna tattoo, or try out Spy Hop's Found Sound Studio or the "Top Secret Animation" project.
