Real Salt Lake defender Kwame Watson-Siriboe underwent successful surgery Thursday to repair a torn and ruptured right ACL and torn right meniscus. Watson-Siriboe will miss six to eight months.

Watson-Siriboe, 26, became injured early in the RSL Reserves' scoreless draw at USL Pro side Phoenix FC on Saturday.

A fourth-year pro, Watson-Siriboe made seven appearances – all starts – in MLS play for RSL this year. He has 19 appearances and 17 starts in regular season play and one MLS Cup Playoff start since being acquired in 2012 in a trade with the Chicago Fire.

Real Salt Lake hosts the Seattle Sounders at 7:30 p.m. at Rio Tinto Stadium.
