Utah Arts Festival: Feats of clay

If you don't know why it's appropriate for Salt Lake City ceramic artist Randi Lile to have a life-size cardboard cutout of Patrick Swayze at her booth at the Utah Arts Festival, think about it for a second.
Remember Swayze in "Ghost"? The pottery-wheel scene? Get it now?
"I love working with clay," said Lile, who's also manager and co-owner of the co-op ceramic studio Red Kiln Pottery.
She makes practical pottery items, as well as funky wall decor. The two motifs of her wall sculptures are toothy fish and funky guitars.
Lile said she makes fish "because of my fear of the ocean." The guitars reflect her love of music. "I don't play guitar. I tried for awhile," she said.
