The CEOs of Zions Bancorp, Salt Lake CAP Head Start, Academy Mortgage and five others received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 Award for their successful leadership.
The eight recipients were honored during a gala Thursday evening at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. They collectively produced more than 14,400 jobs in 2012 and generated $2.7 billion of revenue.
The eight winners in the Utah region will now go on to vie for national recognition, with winners announced in several categories and the Entrepreneur of the Year named in Palm Springs on Nov. 16.
The categories and the honored CEOs in the Utah region are:

Consumer Products & Distribution: Aaron Skonnard, Pluralsight, Layton
Real Estate Management & Construction: Dave Bateman, Property Solutions International Inc., Lehi
Social Entrepreneur: Erin Trenbeath-Murray, director, Salt Lake CAP Head Start, Salt Lake City
Master Entrepreneur: Harris Simmons, Zions Bancorp, Salt Lake City

Regional winners will be considered for national recognition, with honorees announced Nov. 16.
