Cartoonist's Note: I am away from my drawing table organizing the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists convention. In the meantime, I am featuring some of the attendees.

Besides drawing editorial cartoons, Daryl Cagle is the owner of Cagle Cartoons, Inc.. (Full disclosure: Cagle syndicates my cartoons, along with those of three dozen other cartoonists, to 850 newspapers worldwide).

Before becoming a capitalist exploiter of the cartooning masses, Daryl worked for the Muppets. During the 80s if you wore Keds shoes or Timex watches with Muppet characters, you were wearing Daryl's art.

He also created some back-of-the-cereal-box masterpieces featuring Muppet games and puzzles for Croonchy Stars, the Swedish Chef sugar-bomb cereal from Post. He says his Muppet Oral B toothbrushes didn't do nearly as well.

You can see some of the other cartoonists featured on Daryl's website.
