Every time I feel good about my decision to come back to Utah for retirement, The Tribune prints something that kicks me in the teeth.
In the story, "Study: transportation tax hike would benefit more than it costs" (Tribune, June 24), what does being a "former LDS Church presiding bishop" have to do with raising taxes to invest in road and mass-transit projects. And you mention that affiliation twice (once in a photo caption), as if it were some sort of qualification.
This is the place that is really something else. Now I can't wait to get out of here again.
