West Valley City police released videos to The Salt Lake Tribune on Wednesday of Josh Powell's interviews with them following the disappearance of his wife Susan Cox Powell in December 2009.

The videos of interviews — one the evening of Dec. 7, the second a day later — demonstrate Powell's seemingly evasive, disjointed and sometimes-contradictory statements.

The police department had released transcripts of the interviews earlier this month among thousands of other investigative documents. The documents show that detectives were highly suspicious of Josh Powell, as they noted discrepancies in his story and tracked his strange behavior.

Powell ultimately moved to Washington with his and Susan's sons, where he killed them and himself.
