Salt Lake City police are seeking the public's help in locating an elderly woman who disappeared Friday.
The Salt Lake City Police Department said Linda Jensen, 65, was last seen around 10 a.m. Friday morning. Sometime after that, she apparently wandered away from a care facility at 1001 N. Featherstone Drive (1781 West).
Jensen's son, Brian Baker, said she takes medication for Alzheimer's. Authorities are also concerned due to Friday's record-breaking heat.
According to Baker, volunteers, family members and police were combing the streets for Jensen on Friday night.
"I feel like I couldn't ask for more support from the police and the community," Baker said. "They're all doing an excellent job."
Police described Jensen as white, 5 foot 6, and about 185 pounds. She has burgundy or red hair, blue eyes and was last seen wearing a pink shirt, red jacket and white shorts.
Anyone with information about Jensen is urged to call police at 801-799-3000.
