A 22-year-old man died at Bear Lake on Saturday, possibly from heat stroke, according to a Rich County Sheriff's Office news release.

Dispatchers got a 911 call about 7:13 p.m. and sent state park officers and a medical helicopter to aid the man, who was on a boat. When responders arrived, they took over CPR efforts being performed on the man, according to the release.

Emergency medical personnel tried for about an hour to save the man's life. The state medical examiner's office is working to confirm a cause of death.
