banking system

Goldenwest Credit Union in Ogden has launched an online banking system aimed at easing transaction searches, and at providing enhanced financial management tools. Members must complete a short enrollment process to use the system. Goldenwest has 20 branch offices and will open another in Bountiful this summer.

Henry Walker

opens homes

in West Valley

Henry Walker Homes has opened a 154-unit town home community, Villages at Westridge, at 5315 S. and 5600 West in West Valley City. The subdivision, which offers lawn maintenance and snow removal, is near the USANA Amphitheater. Homes of up to 1,390 square feet are priced in the $150,000 range.

Chamber board

Questar Corp. CEO Ron Jibson is the new chairman of the Salt Lake Chamber's board of governors, serving a one-year term. He replaces Workers Compensation Fund CEO Ray Pickup, who remains on the executive board. The Buckner Co. CEO Terry Buckner is vice chairman.

Investors have stopped worrying about the Federal Reserve, for now. Stock market indexes rose on Monday as they judged that the economy still isn't growing fast enough for the central bank to cut back on its stimulus program.
