Kitchen fire damages Ogden home

A kitchen fire of unknown origin caused about $10,000 damage to an Ogden home Monday morning.

Residents came home about 7:20 a.m. to find light smoke coming from the single family dwelling, located at 2837 Cherry Court, according to Ogden City Fire Department Deputy Chief Eric Bauman.

Damage to the kitchen was extensive was extensive to the kitchen and is estimated at 10,000 dollars.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and ventilated the structure, which was filled with smoke, Bauman said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday afternoon.

No injuries were associated with the blaze.
