Kristi Storoschuk, a 5-foot-10 libero/defensive specialist from Nelson High School in Burlington, Ontario, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Weber State in 2013.
Storoschuk was a four-year starter and also competed in track as a freshman and sophomore, lettering both seasons.
"Kristi has been playing on one of the elite Canadian club teams, and her team has finished very high in every competition that they have been in in the United States," Weber State coach Tom Peterson said. "Her same team has won the Provincial Championships in Ontario during the last few years, and also won the Canadian National Club Championship twice.
"Because of her experience we expect her to immediately help us with ball control. Even though she played as an outside hitter in Canada we expect her to be a defensive specialist or libero here at Weber State."
Storoschuk played her club volleyball for Defensa 18U, which won the club team national championship in 2011 and 2013, and finished second in 2012.
