Recalls for votive candles, luggage racks for BMW Maxi-Scooters

The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unless otherwise indicated, discontinue use of the products immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund. For more information about the products, call the manufacturer or CPSC's toll-free hotl ine, 800-638-2772. Only some cars or trucks recalled are affected. Contact a dealer for your model to see if it is included in the recall. The dealer will tell you what to do.

Product • Votive candles, sold by Swan Creek Candle Co.

Problem • The candles, which were sold loose and not in any container, can burn with a high flame, posing a fire and burn hazard. Call Swan Creek Candle Co. toll-free at 888-804-8492 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, or go online at www.swancreeekcandle.com and click on "Candle Recall" at the bottom of the home page. Product • BMW dealer-installed luggage racks for 2013 BMW C650 GT Maxi-Scooters

Problem • During riding, the attachment bolts of the luggage rack — part number 8 527 038 — could loosen. BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the luggage rack for free. The recall began in June 2013. Owners may call BMW at 800-525-7417 or email BMW at customerrelations@bmwusa.com.
