Authorities temporarily put Ogden Regional Medical Center on lockdown Thursday night after a man showed up with gunshot wounds.

The man appeared in the parking lot about 10:45 p.m., according to communications director Craig Bielik. When security arrived and discovered the man had gunshot wounds, the hospital went on lockdown. Bielik described the lockdown as standard procedure for the situation.

Sheriff's deputies arrived about 11 p.m. They determined that the man had not been shot on facility's campus and the hospital ended the lockdown.

Weber County Sheriff's Lt. Mark Lowther said the man's vehicle also had bullet holes in it. Investigators are treating the incident as part of a crime and served two related search warrants Thursday night, Lowther added.

Lowther said the man is expected to survive. Citing patient confidentiality laws, Bielik said he could not provide details about the man or his injuries.
