A woman was stabbed Friday during an argument in Pioneer Park.

She and a man were arguing over some sort of property about 1:15 p.m., said Salt Lake City police Det. Dennis McGowan. The man pulled out a knife; the woman, 32, was stabbed in the abdomen, under her arm, McGowan said.

A witness said a part of the woman's earlobe was removed in the altercation, either bitten or cut off.

The woman was in fair condition, McGowan said. The man was arrested and was being booked on suspicion of aggravated assault.
