The Utah State Advisory Council on Science and Technology is accepting nominations for the 26th annual Medal for Science and Technology awards.
The awards recognize those who have provided distinguished service to the state in science and technology the areas of academics, science education, industry (individual), industry (company) and government, according to a news release.
The council makes recommendations to Gov. Gary Herbert, who chooses the recipients and will award the medals at a dinner in January.
Any Utah citizen or organization may submit nominations, which are due by 5 p.m. on Sept. 13.
