H&M, Hennes & Mauritz, the popular global retailer known for fashion-forward apparel and quality basics, is opening a new location this fall at University Mall in Orem.

H&M at University Mall — the chain's fourth Utah location — is a 20,000-square-foot store. It will include collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate "store within store" sections for accessories, lingerie and maternity. The location also will carry clothing for children, ages newborn to 14, as well as a plus-size line.

The chain, founded in Sweden in 1947, operates 2,900 stores in 49 markets and employs more than 104,000 people. Since H&M opened its first store on New York's Fifth Avenue 13 years ago, the United States has been one of the retailer's most important markets. —
