NFL • Mississippi guard Marshall Henderson, who previously played for the University of Utah, has been suspended indefinitely.

The university announced the 6-foot-2 senior from Hurst, Texas, is suspended because of a "violation of team rules," but it did not provide any details about the violations.

"Since the season ended, we have talked a lot about Marshall taking a greater leadership role with our team," Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy said in a statement. "With that comes greater responsibility, and he must do a better job of living up to the high standard we expect from him and he desires from himself."

Henderson averaged 20.1 points per game last season — bombing 3-pointers from nearly every inch of the court. He helped the Rebels win the SEC tournament championship and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2002.

But the flamboyant guard also was known for his abrasive personality and he quickly became the player opposing teams loved to hate.

Canucks will host Senators in Classic

NHL • Vancouver will become the third Canadian city to host a regular-season NHL game outdoors when the Canucks play the Ottawa Senators at BC Place next season in the 2014 Heritage Classic.

Edmonton hosted Montreal in the original Heritage Classic in 2003 in the NHL's first outdoor regular-season game. Calgary hosted the Canadiens in the 2011 edition.

The March 2 game in Vancouver will be the first played in a retractable-roof facility.

• Tuukka Rask turned an outstanding first season as the Boston Bruins' No. 1 goalie into a long-term commitment on Wednesday by signing an eight-year contract to stay with the Eastern Conference champions.
