A fire Wednesday evening burned a house near a storage facility at 2100 South and 6706 West.

The two-alarm fire was reported at the home of Rocky Mountain Storage's on-site manager about 7:30 p.m., said Salt Lake City Fire spokesman Jasen Asay. A man, woman and baby live in the home.

The fire burned about one third of the house; the rest of the building sustained smoke damage. The blaze went on for about 30 minutes before firefighters were able to control it.
