Got a gun, neighbor?

How wonderful that the city of Woods Cross now allows home-based gun sales! ("Permit approved for Woods Cross home-based gun business," Tribune, July 10.)

If one is fortunate enough to live there, one could conceivably ring the doorbell of the shop's proprietor at any hour. How handy if you're having a late-night squabble with your spouse, or if you've just been awakened again by your neighbor's dog!

Also, if someone is trying to break into your house in the middle of the night, you can try to stall them at the front door while you sneak out the back door and tiptoe across the lawn to your neighbor's gun shop. Oh, if all cities could be as progressive as Woods Cross!

Local real estate offices are probably being swamped with calls and emails from people across the country wanting to relocate to such a progressive city.
