Ryan Kelly of Green River Fly Fisher has been a busy guide this year with great fishing along the entire stretch of river below the dam to the Colorado state line. Thanks Ryan for finding time to send in reports and pictures.

Green River Fishing Report for July 11thFlows: 1100 during the day up to 1600 in the evening. Hatches: Caddis, cicadas, yellow sallies, pmd's, The dry fly fishing has been great over the last few weeks. There are numerous bugs on the water. There are still a few cicadas around and the fish are still eating them, more so on B, but on A some as well. The cicadas that are still out there are a size 2. There are lots of sallies and caddis on lower A and all the way through B on to C section. B section has had a good PMD hatch each day as well. There are a few PMD's on A section in spots. Crickets have produced well on the A section as an alternative to cicadas. I don't really have a report for nymphs as I have not nymph fished in the last month. I would assume there are plenty of sally nymphs and caddis pupa swimming around down there given the amount of insects on the surface. The crowds have slightly dissipated now that the June rush is over.

There are some great fish in the pics this week along with a shot of a mondo cicada. There is also a rare cutthroat which happened to be just shy of 22 inches. A rare fish on the Green indeed.
