Todd Reese will be the new director of parks and public lands, coming to Salt Lake City from the Chicago suburb of Downers Grove, where he was parks director. The University of Iowa graduate is a licensed landscape architect with 25 years of experience.

Becker also promoted Marina Scott to treasurer. The deputy treasurer for the past seven years, she has bachelor's and master's degrees from Weber State University and a master's from Vilnius University in Lithuania.

The city's new deputy director of housing and neighborhood development will be Nichol Bourdeaux. She was Sorenson Unity Center's director for five years and has 15 years of experience with government agencies and nonprofits, Becker noted.
