A van that ran a red light in Cottonwood Heights on Friday afternoon ended up hitting two other cars and rolling over.

The older GMC van ran a red light at the intersection of Wasatch Boulevard and Bengal Boulevard about 2:40 p.m., according to Cottonwood Heights police Sgt. Scott Peck. The van then hit an Acura that was entering the intersection, veered to the side of the road and rolled over. The van also hit a red Subaru wagon.

The driver of the van was a woman over the age of 55, Peck said. He added that there were no injuries involved.

The van was likely totaled, but the other two cars sustained only minor damage. Peck said the driver of the van was cited for running a red light.
