The 'paper' paper | The Salt Lake Tribune

I sympathize with those who bemoan the fact that The Tribune is becoming smaller and thinner, with fewer sections and features ("Shrinking Trib," Forum, June 28). However, I also know that newspapers are going out of business all over the country. I understand that the age of electronic publishing and the Internet is greatly reducing the number of subscribers and advertisers and making it harder for print copies to be financially sustainable.

I am one who does love my "paper" paper. I like to get up first thing in the morning, bring the paper inside and do the crossword puzzle to wake up my brain, read the funnies to start my day with a little laughter, and then read the rest from front to back.

Whatever The Tribune management needs to do to keep this happening is okay with me. A little less paper is far better than no paper at all.
