Crews late Wednesday morning closed containment lines around a 63-acre wildfire burning in Diamond Fork Canyon about 5 miles north of Spanish Fork.
The Wignall Fire, sparked by lightning about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, was located in steep, remote terrain and did not threaten any structures.
One firefighter suffered a knee injury while climbing through the thick brush, said U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Loyal Clark.
While the blaze had been subdued, Clark said plans were to keep the 60 firefighters assigned to the area along with two water-bearing helicopters would remain ready to attack any new lightning fires that may crop up with new thunderstorms moving into the region.
"We're just going to be extra careful, get right on them if we have more," she said.
