The Seventh Amendment of the Constitution very clearly states that "no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States."
If the Department of Justice were to attempt to use federal statute to retry George Zimmerman who was acquitted in Florida state court in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin it would be an absolute violation of this constitutional restriction, placing Zimmerman in double jeopardy.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder could then be open to a charge of attempting to break the law of our land. We must demand that our own government remain within the confines of the law if we hope to see our Republic survive.
