Fete 2013 Salt City Slam Team before Nation..

The 2013 Salt City Slam Team Sendoff will take place on Monday, July 29 at 8 p.m. at Weller Book Works, located in Trolley Square Mall in Salt Lake City.

The event will fete the 2013 Salt City Slam Team as they prepare to compete at the National Poetry Slam in Cambridge, Massachusetts.The Salt City Slam Team finished 8th out of 72 teams in the last two years at the National Poetry Slam.

Salt City Slam is Jesse Parent, Ben Barker, Willy Palomo, RJ Walker, and Dave Alberti.

They are coached by Josh McGillis, a 3-time team member and the person responsible for coaching the team to their first semifinal appearance in the 2011 National Poetry Slam.

Salt City Slam hosts shows every last Monday of the month at 8 p.m. at Weller Book Works.Good luck!
