A Summit County search and rescue team found a missing man in the area of Kings Peak, Utah's tallest mountain, after he'd been gone four days.
Pierre Pond, 51, of Palmer Lake, Colo., had last been seen late Sunday morning, after he got separated from another man he was with, said Summit County sheriff's Sgt. Ron Bridge.
The rescue team, with help from the Duchesne County Sheriff's Office and a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter, went looking for Pond Thursday afternoon near Henry's Fork trailhead, where he and the other man had started. The other man got off the mountain safely, Bridge said.
"They just got separated. It happens," Bridge said.
By Thursday evening, crews found Pond in good condition in the general vicinity of the peak, Bridge said. He did not give further details about where Pond was or what he had been doing the past few days.
