Harrison, N.J. • The New York Red Bulls and defender Digão have agreed to cancel his Major League Soccer contract.
The Red Bulls announced the parting on Friday.
Digão signed with the Red Bulls in September. The Brazilian appeared in one postseason match in 2012 but had not played in the regular season this year.
