About 140 members of the 729th Air Control Squadron "Angry Warriors" returned to Utah on Sunday after a six-month deployment to Southwest Asia.

The Hill Air Force Base unit provided radar air surveillance and command and control of coalition aircraft over Afghanistan.

The squadron controlled more than 255,000 square miles of Afghan airspace, providing support for more than 34,000 air combat sorties.
