A woman was flown to the hospital Sunday afternoon after crashing on her motorcycle in Utah County.

At 3:08 p.m., a 52-year-old woman was driving north out of Goshen Canyon when she went off the road at a turn near the mouth of the canyon, which is a few miles southwest of Santaquin, said Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Cannon.

She was wearing a helmet, but she still suffered head injuries along with other scrapes and abrasions, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Cannon did not have details of the Salt Lake County woman's condition, but said that she was not conscious when she was flown from the scene in a helicopter.

Deputies suspect alcohol and possibly prescription medications may have factored into the crash.
