Your editorial "No nukes" (Opinion, July 17) accurately observes that Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, properly helped avert detonation of the so-called "nuclear option," while the Republicans improperly blocked the well-qualified Consumer Financial Protection Bureau nominee, Richard Cordray, because they opposed the recently created agency.
Now Hatch must press for expeditious confirmation of judicial nominees such as Judge Carolyn McHugh for the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals vacancy.
