Bear Lake Fishing Report: Boats can be launched and the Utah State Park Marina, 1st Point, Cisco Beach, and Rainbow Cove boat ramps. Surface water temperature is 69F. Anglers are catching a few cutthroat trout and lake trout while trolling along the east side along the Cisco Beach area north to the state line. Try using flatfish and Rapalas and fishing in anywhere from 50-90 feet of water using downriggers. Remember, in order to keep a cutthroat trout from Bear Lake it must have a healed fin clip (usually the adipose fin). Try small spoons and spinners during the day time and try a wooly bugger behind a bubble or dry flies on the surface in the morning and evenings. Powerbait and worms will always work too. There is a lot of moss (filamentous algae) which makes fishing difficult, however some anglers are catching a few rainbow trout using worms or flies.
