Re "Lee only Republican to oppose student loan deal," Tribune, July 26.
According to the above story, Sen. Mike Lee has an outstanding student loan debt of between $10,000 and $15,000. Assuming it was $16,000, if he paid $1,000 a year, it would amount to $83.33 a month.
My son, daughter and three granddaughters have each paid off their student loans in less than five years. We are a middle-class family, not United States senators.
What's wrong with this picture?
What a deadbeat!
