The Transportation Security Administration on Monday issued a "friendly reminder" to Salt Lake City airline passengers to leave their hand grenades behind.
The reminder came two days after a Salt Lake City International Airport passenger was found Saturday with a grenade packed in a carry-on bag during a routine screening by TSA personnel. The passenger was enroute to Denver.
TSA officials said the grenade was inert and a little rusty.
But regardless, TSA said explosive materials and realistic replicas are not permitted on planes.
