Recently there's been a litany of letters to the Public Forum protesting the antics of Sen. Mike Lee, and they're all warranted.
Lee is the embodiment of everything that's wrong with a dysfunctional Congress. His loathing of the president and anything he attempts to accomplish is evident in his obstructionism.
Lee, along with other Teapublicans, feel Mitt Romney won the presidency and believe the majority side with their distorted views of government. His threat of shutting down the government if Obamacare is funded would be laughable if not so pathetic. What would Lee, and the Republican cohorts backing him, do with millions of people suddenly denied health care?
As inept as Lee is, Utah voters will scamper to the polls to reelect him and other Teapublican buffoons like Jason Chaffetz and Chris Stewart, not because they necessarily abide by their political agendas and accomplishments but only because they're on the Republican ticket.
Meanwhile, many of us will be enraged by new rounds of criticism in future Public Forums, excoriating tea party clowns as congressional approval plummets to less than 12 percent, and most of us wondering how it could be so high.
