Thousands of people gather on the downtown streets of Salt Lake City to camp for more than 30 hours before July 24 parade begins. As downtown homeowners, we adjust our lives and work schedules to accommodate.
On the morning of parade, a man parked in front of our driveway. I tell him it's clearly marked a no parking zone and he's blocking our vehicles. The man turns to his wife and three little girls, states that it's OK to park there. He walks off, flips me the bird, and says, "F*** you, lady."
Teach your children well.
