BYU's future football schedule will include a pair of games against Fresno State of the Mountain West Conference, both schools announced Wednesday.

The Cougars and Bulldogs will meet Nov. 21, 2015 in Provo, and the second game will be played Nov. 4, 2017 at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, Calif.

"This is a great regional matchup for our football program," BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe said in a school news release. "It has been more than a decade since we've played Fresno State. If tradition holds true, fans will be in for a high-scoring game featuring two former Western Athletic Conference foes."

Fresno State leads the overall series 5-4.

The schools played five times as WAC members from 1992 to 1999. The last time they played was Oct. 3, 1998 in Fresno.

BYU's home schedule in 2015 also includes Boise State, Cincinnati and Connecticut. —
