Authorities in Colorado are warning churches to be on the lookout for a former Utah college basketball coach who is describing himself as an "Islamist jihadist."

The churches were warned last weekend about Christopher Craig, a former head coach at Utah State University Eastern in Price.

Fort Collins, Colo., police spokesman Matt Johnson says his agency put out an alert to area churches based on information received from Steamboat Springs, Colo.

The alert said Craig was saying that Mormons and Catholics "would be destroyed" in the coming weeks.

Steamboat Springs police Capt. Jerry Stabile says Craig was driving around the mountain city with a towel on his head, sunglasses and filming himself.

Stabile says Craig told police that everyone would know his name in a few weeks.
