Cache County residents are being warned about a rash of telephone scams perpetrated bogus solicitors.

The Cache County Sheriff's Office reports that in July alone it investigated 11 incidents where telephone scammers targeted Logan-area residents.

The sheriff's office also is cautioning residents to be aware of fake door-to-door solicitors and mailers offering free or bargain products in return for personal information.

Residents approached by door-to-door solicitors can ask to see their business licenses, or call police if they are suspicious.
