Already hot, the weather in Utah is about to get warmer.

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures along the Wasatch Front on Wednesday will rise into the upper-90s under mostly clear and sunny skies. That forecast comes after Tuesday's expectations for highs in the mid-90s with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms and rain showers.

Southern Utahns will be caressing their air conditioners with Utah's Dixie looking for highs in the triple-digits both days under clear and mercilessly blazing skies.

At least the breathing will be easy, even if the air will be warm. The Utah Division of Air Quality graded all monitoring stations at "Green," or healthy during the mid-week.

However, the Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website had mixed news for allergy sufferers: chenopods rose to "very high" on the pollen index, while ragweed was "high."

Salt Lake City's high Wednesday was pegged at 97, up 1 degree from Tuesday's forecast; Ogden looked for 92s both days; Provo expected 96 and 93 degrees, respectively; Logan 94 and 92; Wendover 94 and 93; Duchesne 85 and 80; Cedar City 90 and 88; St. George 102 and 101; and Moab 92 and 91 degrees.
