Baltimore-based rock quintet The Secret State will perform this Thrusday at Liquid Joe's, and recently released their single "Fight Or Flight" a song about a patrol on deployment in Afghanistan and their homecomingand its state-of-the-art music video, which first premiered on Friday, June 14 (Flag Day and the U.S. Army's 238th Birthday) on FOXNEWS.COM.
Currently available on iTunes, the band is donating 50 percent of the proceeds of the single's sale to GallantFew and the Fisher House Foundation. Drummer and violinist MIKE MARX-GIBBONS enlisted in the Army on September 12, 2001 and has stayed in the Army National Guard to the present. He served in Iraq from Dec 2003 to May 2005 as a Combat Medic.
Two other band members, guitarist JOSH JONES and digital performer DANNY ESPINOSA, were in the Coast Guard and later served in Afghanistan as defense contractors.
The official video for "Fight Or Flight" was shot at Fort Irwin in California at the U.S. Army's National Training Center (NTC).
