Unified Fire Authority crews Wednesday quickly extinguished a small fire in the basement of a Magna home.

Firefighters said they were called to the home about 12:25 p.m. near 3100 South and 8020 West after the homeowner said he saw smoke in the basement but no flames.

Firefighters said they found contents in a small room were on fire and quickly extinguished the blaze.

No one was injured.

Fire investigators were investigating the cause. The blaze caused an estimated $25,000 in damage.
