U.S. Amateur: BYU's Blair loses lead, falls in round of 32

Former BYU golfer Zac Blair lost a two-hole lead on the back nine Thursday, falling 2 and 1 to Matthias Schwab in the round of 32 of the U.S. Amateur at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass.
Blair was 2 up through 10, then lost Nos. 11 and 12 before winning No. 13 to regain the lead. But he bogeyed the next two holes and fell behind, then lost the match on the par-4 No. 17, where he made a double bogey to Schwab's birdie.
Schwab, from Austria, is an incoming freshman at Vanderbilt.
Blair, an Ogden product who recently completed his BYU career, is expected to turn pro soon — unless he's picked to play in the Walker Cup in early September. But his selection appears unlikely at this point.
