In 1988, Danzig released its debut album the first release on producer Rick Rubin's new Def American Recordings. The hard-rock band is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a tour featuring Doyle, the axman in Glenn Danzig's former band The Misfits.
Doyle's best albums, "Walk Among Us" and "Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood," are landmarks of the punk movement of the early 1980s.
While Glenn Danzig and Doyle battled in the past, Doyle has joined Danzig onstage for nearly a decade to perform half-hour sets of Misfits songs.
On this tour, Doyle will once again join Danzig to play Misfits classics.
While Doyle is known for his menacing black-and-white stage makeup, he said people often have the wrong impression about him. "Sometimes, when I meet someone, they can't believe I can talk," said Doyle, whose solo album, "Abominator," was just released.
Special guests are Scar The Martyr and Huntress.
