Roundabouts have been used successfully in Europe and on the East Coast for many years. They are designed to help traffic flow smoothly. Cars enter and exit without stopping and reduce congestion.
Unfortunately, this is not the case with our local roundabouts. Large trees, bushes and, even worse, huge concrete walls obstruct the view.
Implementing roundabouts was a great idea, poorly executed. If you can't see traffic, how do you yield? These are more dangerous than anything.
Go back to a four-way stop if you insist on peek-a-boo driving with roundabouts.
