Some like it hot, some like it wet: Utah's forecast for the mid-week should make aficionadi of both climatological persuasions somewhat happy.

The Wasatch Front looked for high temperatures in the low- to mid-90s with afternoon and evening thunderstorms and rain showers on Wednesday, a mirror image of Tuesday's forecast.

Southern Utahns awaited a similar cycle of storm activity, though high temperatures will climb past 100 degrees both days, the National Weather Service said.

All that atmospheric stirring bodes well for breathing deeply. The Utah Division of Air Quality graded the entire state as "Green," or healthy, through the mid-week. The only exceptions might be allergy sufferers, especially those sensitive to chenopods — rated "very high" on the Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website's pollen index — and mold and ragweed, which were "moderate."

Salt Lake City's high temperature for Wednesday was pegged at 97, up 3 degrees from Tuesday's forecast; Ogden looked for 92 and 91 degrees, respectively; Provo 95 and 92; Logan 92s; Wendover 94 and 92; Duchesne 86 and 84; Cedar City 89s; St. George 103s; and Moab 96 and 94 degrees.
